Red Version: First Rival Battle

So I got a Red Version back when they first came to America.

As we all know there comes that point where you get the option to pick your starter. At first I was thinking about getting Charmander but I liked the stocky cuteness of the Bulbasaur.


Then inevitably there is the first battle with your Rival.

A simple battle of course. Which got me thinking when you break it down charmander throws a few scratches but more or less growls while you tackle. over and over.


Imagine that fight actually happening how sad that would look.
Two rather cute creatures. The small orange lizard just growling while this chubby blue guy hurls his full weight over and over into his opponent.

I feel it would get awkward for both trainers if it went on to long.
